Call for Models!

Hello darlings!

Again, it's been awhile. Summer was...well, let's not go there. xD Anywho, work promotion means better hours and I'll finally have more time to work on this poor blog. Now let's get to the good stuff!

I snagged an artist alley table at Kikori Con and am participating in the JFashion show which means...I need models!

Kikori Con is in Flagstaff, Arizona. It will be held at the Little America Hotel. Here are the details and requirments...

• Must be 18 or older to participate.
• No modeling experience needed! I can teach you how to walk if need be. However, if you do have modeling or cosplay photos or a portfolio I'd love to see your work! 
• Please have reliable transportation to and from the con. You will also need to be available for two fittings. These can be scheduled at your convenience. :) 
• Kikori Con runs from November 6th to 8th. The fashion show is usually on Saturday night(which would be the 7th) at around 7pm. You will need to show up at LEAST two hours before the show starts(5pm, tentatively) for hair, makeup, and final tweaks. 
• PLEASE conduct yourself in a professional and classy manner! Leave all drama at the door. We don't do that here. 
• Depending on whether or not I have an assistant you may need to do your own hair and/or makeup. I will bring brushes, cleaner, and eyeshadow pallets, but you will need to bring your own base, foundation, mascara, eyeliner, and lip color.

Innocent World Q & A

Happy Friday! 

Here is the last video Kawaii Pateen filmed for their look into Innocent World! 

This one is my favorite. :3 Creator Yumi Fujiwara and model Yui Minakata ask each other questions about everything from Innocent World photo shoots to what their favorite crepe flavor is(strawberry cheesecake and custard for Minakata, banana chocolate for Fujiwara). 

I hope you enjoyed the series! :)  As Saboten approaches we will be posting more videos about cosplay, as well as makeup and cosplay tutorials and of course, giving sneak peeks on our new inventory we will be selling in artist alley!

Behind the Scenes: Innocent World's Atelier

Today I'm posting the third video installment of Kawaii Pateen's look into Innocent World! Today creative Yumi Fujiwara shows Kawaii Pateen the beautiful furniture and antiques that decorate the atelier, and where she got them as well as their historical background.

The antiques tie in beautifully with the lolita pieces she designs! It's easy to see how everything ties together. :3

Yumi Fujiwara Interview

Today I'm posting the second Kawaii Pateen video about Innocent World! 

In this video Yumi Fujiwara, designer and founder of the classic lolita label, talks a bit more about her inspriations behind the clothing, how she got started, and what she does when things don't go quite as planned. Brand model Yui Minakata also talks about how she became the model for Innocent World and why she loves the clothing.

Go Behind the Scenes at Innocent World

Ever wonder how your favorite lolita clothes are made? 

Kawaii Pateen went behind the scenes last month with Yumi Fujiwara, the creative mastermind behind the classic lolita brand Innocent World. In the video, she features a few of Innocent World's newest pieces and explains her inspriation behind the designs, as well as the creative process that turns her ideas into clothing. 

This is the first of four videos Kawaii Pateen did to document Innocent world. I will be posting the second video tomorrow. In the meantime, check out Innocent World's website(they're having a summer sale!), and Kawaii Pateen's Facebook page!

Saboten Prep!

Here we are, on Monday again. :P

The last week or so we've been really focused on prep for Saboten, since it's less than a month away! 

This means tons of new inventory and new packaging! I'll get pics up as they happen. 

This year Saboten runs from August 29th to September 1st, at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel. It's one of the largest anime conventions in Arizona. We can't wait to see all the great cosplayers, panels, and other events! :D More info can be found at their website.

We will have an Artist Alley table as well.

Launch Goodies for Preorder!

I got some things up for preorder! :D Click the phots to see their respective Etsy listings.

Ten of each necklace are available for preorder($15 each, USD), and three pairs of each color of the earrings are available($5 USD). They will ship on June 21st when we officially relaunch!

The Show So Far...

We are slightly less than a month away from the launch!

The Twitter account has been changed from @Thirty4thSt to @Candy_Graffiti. I will be changing the Facebook page as well. 

We have a website up and running(ish)! I'm in the process of getting the pages up, fixing the code so that the graphics display properly, and fixing store listings. I have closed the Storenvy shop so that I can move the inventory to Etsy and the website. Once its finished, you can shop on the website if you want to buy stuff from both the Etsy and the old Storenvy inventory and the Etsy shop will automatically update. Yay for saving time! 

Starting June 1st I will be taking preorders for new pieces I'm designing. :) These will be available in limited runs, as I can get the supplies for them. Details and photos coming soon! 

I went ahead and changed over the Etsy store graphics. It was getting confusing having a mismatched store name and banner. 

Also planning a launch party! Details to follow! <3

Progress!!

The workroom is almost complete! Pics will follow at some point. We are moving things back and and will be putting up the thread rack this week. 

I'm waiting for good light so I can shoot more inventory, including some new things that won't be available until the launch! :) Keeping a lot of it under wraps, but just know there will be unicorns and neon spikes. <3

Still working on how to incorporate Visual Kei into the line. I have a lot of pieces I want to rework and reshoot.
